Vyvanse medication requires a specific titration schedule, which needs to be closely supervised by the prescribing clinician. Starting any medication could be unsettling and uncertain.
- Start with 15 mg - half of the prescribed 30 mg capsule - for about three days. If there are no side effects or other problems with Vyvanse, Note - the Vyvanse capsule could be opened and mixed with any fluids. You can drink half of this solution and leave another half in the fridge until the next day.
- If you have no problems with half of the 30 mg capsule you may start taking the full capsule - 30 mg - for another 3-4 days.
- subsequently, the process can be repeated, and the dose increased to 45 mg - one and a half capsules for another four days until the desired effect is reached.
- in some situations, the dose may need to be further increased to 60 mg - two capsules.
