Katrina Burgess

Registered Psychologist

Katrina is a registered psychologist who completed her Master of Psychology (Professional)
in 2019. Since then, she has worked predominantly with young people and their families in
private practice and other clinical settings. While she has experience across the lifespan,
Katrina is especially passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults.

Katrina supports clients with a broad range of concerns, including things like anxiety (in its
various forms), low mood, stress, self-esteem and body image, sleep difficulties, behavioural challenges, gender identity, relationship difficulties (including family and friendships), and
neurodivergence (such as ADHD and autism).

Her therapeutic style is warm, empathic, and non-judgemental. She values creating a space
where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. Katrina’s approach is collaborative
and tailored, drawing on evidence-based interventions as well as the unique needs and
preferences of each individual. She enjoys bringing fun and creativity into sessions, often
incorporating games, art, and clients’ special interests.

When she’s not working, Katrina enjoys dancing, baking, going for walks, making strawberry  matchas, sleeping in, and spending quality time on the couch – ideally with a good show or a Taylor Swift playlist and snacks close by.
